The sports facts are here. It is saturday so let’s make them weird. Oh and it’s my birthday which is awesome. Along with the two most amazing triplet sisters ever. I love sharing my day of birth with them. Luff you both!
The Olympics are going to be starting here very soon. I always get excited around Olympic time, because there is always those few sports that you have never heard of or seen before and they are awesome. I remember last Olympics it was team handball. Which if you have never seen, go check it out immediately! Anyways, we all know that each sport has attire that represents the country to which each participant belongs. The US wears there red, white, and blue jerseys, swimsuits, etc. Apparently, back in the day, which I am guessing means in the ancient form of the Olympics. All participants competed completely naked. That had to be an interesting sight watching a guy chuck a javelin 300 ft with his wiener flopping about.
Wimbledon is one of the biggest Tennis Championships in the world, which is why it is one of the four “Majors” in the sport. It all happens over a beautiful fortnight at the end of June into early July. You know when you are watching Wimbledon, because they play on grass courts and everybody is decked out in all-white attire. Apparently it is a rule at the all England club that hosts the tournament. Wear white or don’t play. Weird. Anyways, during the tournament some 42,000 tennis balls are used in the approximately 650 matches. That is about 65 tennis balls per match. That is insane!
