MLB Award Races

Well it’s almost time to start calculating the best stats for the AL and NL awards.  There are a few that are pretty much locked in and a few that could come down to the wire.  Here is what I think

AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera.

As much as I want to go with Mike Trout.  The Angels suck and Miggy’s numbers are just better.  This seasons race isn’t even close.  Cabrera would win another triple crown if it weren’t for Chris Davis’ steroid like home run year.

AL Cy Young: Max Scherzer

The guy has 5 more wins than anyone else in the AL and is 5th in ERA.  It’s gonna be tough to top that.

NL MVP and Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw

Have you seen him pitch? NO. You should go watch. He is absolutely incredible. His 1.72 ERA is the lowest in the majors since 1995. There is no pitcher in baseball that is on his level. Nobody! Sandy Koufax could have a challenge for best lefty pitcher ever when Kershaw calls it quits.
