How about them Portland Trailblazers. They are finally living up to their name and blazing the trail in the Western Conference. Not many people saw that happening. That much is for sure. I can’t really explain their 21-4 start. I don’t know if anyone can, but they don’t seem to fading any time soon.
Phoenix also looks like a formidable team. They have found a way to make Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic flourish as back court mates. If they can continue playing as well as they have the West just gets that much deeper.
The West currently sits with 11 teams over .500. The East is still clinging to 3. And if teams like the Blazers and Suns continue to play above expectations the Playoffs are going to be a bloodbath. At least until the Finals when a fresh Indiana or Miami squad gets to play against a beaten down West team.
