Rainy Sunday

It’s  a beautiful rainy day here in Southern California and the perfect weather to do absolutely nothing, but sit back drink a beer and watch some movies.  So, let’s do some beer and movie pairings to make it through the day.

First, we are pairing White Men Can’t Jump with Mikkeller Beer Geek Cocoa Shake.  It’s a cold rainy day and what better to have your breakfast beer be super chocolatey like a nice glass of chocolate milk.  This beer is sweet and amazing and will mix well with the story of a white guy trying to prove that he can play basketball against the black guys.  Enjoy the goofiness that is Woody Harrelson and savor this big stout.

Next, we mix Caddyshack and it’s wonderful yuck-it-up comedy with the Bruery’s Tart of Darkness.  Caddyshack is considered one of the best sports movies of all time and it will go great with some sour stout flavor mixed in.  The Tart of Darkness is a super sour stout that is incredible easy to drink and has a wonderful finish, much like Caddyshack.  Who doesn’t love dancing gophers, Chevy Chase and a slightly enigmatic Bill Murray.  Drink and Enjoy.

Lastly, we mix my favorite sports movie ever with my favorite beer currently.  Stone Enjoy IPA is extremely hoppy and bitter and couldn’t be a better beer to be served while watching Nuke Laloosh butcher interviews and songs alike.  If you are having a hell of a time trying to figure out what to get Jimmy and Millie for their wedding present, just remember that candles make a nice wedding gift, but beer is better.
